Board and Train
Our Board and Train program is an intensive training experience where your dog lives with us for a predetermined period. During their stay, they receive personalized attention, daily training sessions, socialization, and care in a safe and controlled environment. This program is ideal for busy dog owners who want to see significant improvements in their dog’s behavior without the time commitment of daily training.
Foundation Program (2 Weeks)
Building a Strong Canine Connection in Just 2 Weeks!
What's Included in our Obedience Toolbox:
Recall (Come When Called):
Teach your dog to respond promptly and reliably to your call, ensuring their safety and your peace of mind.
'Heel' Command on Leash:
Teach your dog to respond promptly and reliably to your call, ensuring their safety and your peace of mind.
'Sit' with an Implied Stay:
Achieve a well-mannered dog who can sit and stay on command, making everyday situations more manageable.
Door Way Management:
A critical skill that teaches your dog the importance of self-control and patience at doorways. Your dog will learn to calmly sit and await your command before entering or exiting any threshold. This not only prevents the risk of your dog dashing out uncontrollably but also reinforces respectful obedience and safety.
'Leave It' Command:
Keep your pup safe by teaching them to resist the urge to pick up or interact with potentially harmful objects.
'Place' Command:
Send your dog to an elevated surface, and watch as they stay in place until released on command. This skill provides a structured and calm environment for both you and your dog.
Preventative Behavior Module:
Within this specialized module, we address the common behavioral challenges that many dog owners face, challenges that, without proper guidance, can turn into persistent issues. It's an essential truth that most dogs exhibit behaviors such as jumping on people, barking for attention, excessive licking, and whining until yet taught the more desirable alternatives.

Signs Your Dog is Ready for Training
Every dog can benefit from training, and it can sometimes be a lifelong pursuit. If you’re wondering if training is right for you, here are some signs your dog is ready for training:
Your Dog is Destructive:
Whether it’s chewing on furniture or shoes, going to the bathroom in your house, or anything else your dog is not supposed to do -- it’s time to get them trained out of these sorts of behaviors. Even older dogs who were previously well-behaved may develop bad habits later in life and need a training refresher.
Your Dog is Aggressive:
Aggression can manifest itself in multiple ways; perhaps your dog growls or snaps at you when you get close to his or her food, or toys. Even more concerning is when your dog is aggressive towards other dogs or humans. Yes, sometimes dogs play in a way that seems aggressive, but if your dog is lunging at or snapping at people or other dogs while you’re on walks, it’s time to get a trainer’s help.
Your Dog Misbehaves on Their Leash:
Walking nicely on a leash does not come naturally to most dogs but it is something that can be learned. Again, even older dogs who previously walked well on a leash may start to act out.
Your Dog is Anxious or Fearful:
If your dog is dealing with severe separation anxiety, or is fearful in new environments, a trainer can help. For separation anxiety a trainer will work with you and your dog on a routine to reassure your dog. General training, especially in group classes, can help dogs build confidence.
Your Dog Ignores You at the Park:
Or on walks, or whenever you’re outside. If your dog is obedient when they’re in your home, but loses their mind outside, he or she would benefit from more training. Group classes can be especially helpful because they put your dog in a safe environment with the kinds of distractions you experience outside. Training your dog in situations where there are other distractions helps them learn to obey even when there are other stimulating sights and sounds.

Learn Why Dog owners choose Precision Dog Training Academy
Mallory Aguilar2025-05-08 Our trainer Keaton and the program made a huge difference for my dog Rosie. Her reactivity and leash pulling have calmed down dramatically. Keaton was so knowledgeable and responsive to all my questions inside and out of our sessions. He made sure to go at her pace and adjust whenever needed. I came into the training feeling pretty overwhelmed but this has given me so much hope and confidence in myself and my dog. Thank you guys! Cole Douglass2025-05-07 After lots of research I chose Precision Dog Training Academy for their 4 week Board and Train program for our 4 month Australian Shepherd Beckham. I'm so glad I did. From the initial phone conversations with Ethan, the multiple visits working with Riley during his stay and the follow visits to make sure our family understood how to implement all the training at home. We could not be happier!! Forget 5 🌟 more like 10!! J Mason2025-05-06 Emily did a great job training my puppy and (me…haha!) giving her a great start in proper behavior and good manners with other dogs and people. Many thanks, Emily! Colleen Sink2025-05-03 We love Precision Training Academy!! My dog Hank and I are nearing the end of our 10 week behavior modification program with Keaton as our trainer. Hank gets so excited to go to class each week and adores the staff. Our main goal with starting training was to work through his leash reactivity. Keaton has been so great at helping me understand my pup and how to communicate with him better. I appreciate the patience and kindness he’s shown when working with me through the frustrations that can come as the owner of a reactive dog. Hank has made amazing progress under Keaton’s guidance and we are now able to enjoy calmer walks with much fewer reactions….something I didn’t think possible a few months ago! The past couple weeks, Hank has gotten several compliments from strangers on what a well behaved boy he is. This program has definitely helped strengthen the bond I have with Hank and given me more confidence in working with him. Everyone I’ve interacted with at Precision is incredibly kind, professional and excellent at communicating. I trust my dog in their care. 10/10 recommend! Patrick McGinn2025-04-30 Incredibly professional and caring staff. We decided on the 4 week program with a lot of hesitancy to leave our dogs for that long. Immediately upon drop off we gained a sense of comfort and confidence from every staff member we interacted with. The facility is very clean and quite large. As for the training itself, we were blown away at every level. From the daily updates and videos to the end result. Our trainer Riley was absolutely fantastic. Cannot recommend her enough. She gave us the tools to communicate effectively with our dogs. They returned home with the same personalities, but a freshly instilled drive to obey commands when given. Robin Mayfield2025-04-29 Just finished private lessons with Emily and couldn’t be happier with the results. Big improvement in my dogs behavior and now I have the tools to keep working with him. Roxanne Stiles2025-04-29 Riley and the rest of the staff did a fantastic job with Moose and Bernie. I could tell our dogs loved and trusted her, and she was patient teaching us as well. We have been working on the skills at home, and we are quite impressed. The entire staff is friendly and welcoming which made us feel at peace parting with our dogs for a while. Charles Barton (Moxie)2025-04-29 I've boarded my dog twice (once at a different location) and this was far and away a better overall experience for my dog. the issue was reactivity so they used many controlled dog environments to help teach him that dogs weren't bad, something I straight up don't have the means to do. That alone I think is worth the money. Another important factor is that they teach you the methods so you can learn, and apply the fundamentals to help keep your dog up to par or even continue to improve your dog. Comparing the 2 programs I've used this one also seemed to have my dog out of the kennel/run/room and working more often then the other. Will be attending some classes in the future to continue to work with our dogs. lee hatfield2025-04-25 Best EVER. We have a Great Pyrenees we rescued. She didn't know how to play well with others and definitely didn't share. They have been patient, kind, communicated EVERYTHING. Most importantly Pyres can shut down or become aggressive if handled incorrectly. That did not happen. She loves going Highly recommend. Christian Blake2025-04-24 Hands down the best there is!!!! Took our young and very excitable boxer puppy and turned her into a grade A listener. Emily gets it and is super patient and understanding (which you need when dealing with a pup) and we are forever grateful for her and what she’s done to make us better dog parents
